If I had known him in my younger days,
I wouldn't have blundered and lost my way.
I would have walked the straight and narrow path,
And kept His word deep in my heart.
I wouldn't have planted wild seeds away,
I would have sowed seeds of love to let it grow today.
I wouldn't have swum against the tide
I would just trust Him and let him abide,
Bringing me to shore,
Where His endless love stays forever more.
He died on the cross for all to see,
A love so true, a grace revealed.
Come one, come all,
And respond to His call,
To build His church, to sing His praise,
To feel His touch and His healing grace.
